The Boy and the Monster

This animated short has no pretension whatsoever.  It simply tells a very sweet story in a straightforward way.  A boy, expecting a crowd of others at the training ground, finds himself alone and so spends his time practicing solo.  Yet he loses his ball and, in an attempt to find it, stumbles across the lair of a soccer loving monster…

The Boy and the Monster was directed by Julia Zhuravleva who is (or perhaps was) a student of the All-Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK).  This is her graduation movie.
