When Dutch graphic designer Arjan Groot died last year his colleagues at
PostPanic in Amsterdam created Stardust to strectch their own creative CGI techniques to create something to commemorate his life. Stardust is the end result of that particularly personal project. Directed by Mischa Rozema it focuses on Voyager 1 which is the furthest man-made object away from the sun.
The crux of the concept is that as we are all stardust then nothing, however short-lived, is ever wasted. Our memories of our loved ones persist in the very fabric of the universe. What an incredibly moving, inspired and imaginative way to celebrate the life of a friend who has returned to stardust.
