Ghost by Marco Brambilla

Natasha Poly is the sole focus in this remarkable and unsettling piece by Marco Brambilla.  Brambilla uses multiple shots - all focused head on - and deconstructs an icon.

The aim was to strip the beauty from fashion, layer by layer and question the obsession of the public and the media towards celebrities who are, after all, only human at the end of the day.

Will the compulsion of the camera and its relentless focus render the model insane or will she find some secret and inner equilibrium?  These are questions for you to ponder, rather than answer as indeed Ghost does.

As a muse, Poly's features are somewhat reminiscent of Sinead O'Connor in her Nothing Compares to You period but this is more intense, if anything.  The piece is compelling, powerful and very, very cool.
